	Congratulations to Rotary International Director Noel Bajat whose term as Director began on 7/1/2010 and will end on 6/30/2012. Noel and his wife "Sis" will be serving as ambassadors of goodwill for Acadiana, District 6200 and all of Louisiana and our Rotary Club of Abbeville is very fortunate to have a sitting RI Director as one of our members.
	ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR - Rotarian Richard Primeaux earned ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR honors for the 2008-2009 Rotary year at the 2009 Installation Banquet. Outgoing President Charles Dill, Jr. had the honor of presenting Richard with his award. Congratulations Richard!
	ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR - Rotarian Bertha Mire earned ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR honors for the 2007-2008 Rotary year at the 2008 Installation Banquet. On hand to present Bertha with her award was Governor Charles Spencer. Outgoing President Richard Primeaux made the announcement of the selection of Bertha. Congratulations Bertha!
	Steak Night at Gene Sellers' Camp Sunday, September 30, 2007 If you missed this event, you missed Chef Russell Frederick and Kelly Rogers prepare an outstanding feast for all to enjoy. As you might expect the fellowship was fun (notice smiles on everyone's face)! Special thanks to Rotarian Bertha Mire for chairing this event and to Gene Sellers Sr. for the use of his "Camp".
	ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR - Tobi Edwards was presented with her Rotarian of the Year 2006-2007 award by District Governor Charles Spencer. Tobi is one of the Rotary Club's newest members and has played an active role serving on various committees and doing an outstanding job on each. She served as last year's Program Chairperson and was responsible for seeking informative and interesting programs for each week's meetings. This year she will chair President Richard's Literacy Program effort and is the Vocational Service Director. Congratulations Tobi!
	RI President Bill Boyd visits District 6200 - May 20, 2006 Abbeville Rotarians and Paul Harris recipients had an opportunity to meet Rotary International President Bill Boyd from New Zealand at the District Foundation Gala held on Saturday, May 20, 2006 in Lafayette. President Boyd presented Paul Harris Recognition Awards to D6200 Rotarians who were present for the gala affair. Pictured above are President-Elect Mark Shirley, Rebecca Shirley, President-Elect Bill Boyd, District Governor Don Chauvin, Rotary Regional Foundation Coordinator Noel Bajat, and District Secretary Lloyd Dore'.
